The Urbs Institute survey environment is a wonderful demonstration of the capabilities of the Compete's Benchmark Tool. It clearly demonstrates how different surveys can be used to measure organizational performance or data and compare it to relevant reference groups or a standard or best practice.
The Urbs Institute studies the ICT industry. All sample surveys are built around this theme. Of course, surveys from other industries can also work perfectly in our Benchmark Tool.
The different types of surveys serve different purposes. Have a look at the different examples and see which one suits you best. Of course, each of the surveys can be further adapted to your requirements. This demo environment only gives an impression of what is possible. If you would like to find out how we can best help you, please feel free to contact us.
How does an organisation perform relative to the industry? As a participant in the survey, you compare your performance in terms of costs, revenues, employees and quality. As a participant, you enter your data every quarter. Interesting and relevant key figures are calculated from the individual data of all participants. Get to work with the reports and dashboards and see where you stand. Compare yourself with the entire group or relevant reference groups. See whether you yourself are the benchmark (the best practice ahead of the others) or whether you need to catch up. Use the insights to make immediate improvements to your organisation's strategy.
How does an organisation's turnover develop compared to the industry? As a participant in an industry or turnover monitor, you compare the total turnover and turnover of the main product groups in the industry with the overall industry or interesting relevant reference groups every quarter (in this case; monthly or annual is also possible). As an industry organisation, you have insight into total industry turnover and development.
A function remuneration survey within an industry is a survey conducted to collect and analyse data on the basic remuneration (salaries) of various functions within the industry. The purpose of such a survey is to understand remuneration structures, trends and best practices, and to help organisations develop competitive and fair remuneration strategies.
In addition to function salaries, fringe benefits are often included in the survey.
An industry culture scan is a survey and analysis of the organisational cultures within the companies belonging to that industry. The purpose of a culture scan is to understand the common values, norms, attitudes, behaviours and work environments that characterise companies in the industry. This scan helps both the industry organisation and individual companies to better understand and improve the cultural dynamics within the industry and their own organisation, respectively.
These colored boxes provide additional information about the surveys and how they can be used in your organization. It is also possible to download our manual that belongs to this demo environment.
